The Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (BAGO) is a collegial community of individuals who share a deep passion for and admiration of the organ and its literature.

BAGO Top Tier Event of the Season!

Internationally acclaimed concert organist Isabelle Demers will perform a solo recital at Trinity Church in Copley Square, Boston on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 pm. Her program will include works by Tournemire, Mulet, Rachmaninoff, Laurin, and Holst. The concert is sponsored by the Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and Trinity Church. Admission is free and open to the public.

Winner of the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist (without orchestra), Dr. Demers is known for her virtuosic technique, imaginative organ registrations, and brilliant transcriptions of orchestral works. A native of Québec, she completed her doctoral studies at the Julliard School. Currently, she is Associate Professor of Organ at McGill University in Montréal and was formerly the Joyce Bowden Chair in Organ and Head of the Organ Program at Baylor University (Waco, Texas). She has released multiple CD recordings on the Acis and Pro Organo labels.
