Job Placement Listing

PLACEMENT SERVICE

The Boston Chapter’s placement service provides information to its members regarding open positions. Institutions may register with our placement service for a six-month listing that will appear in the members only section of our website. During that period you may ask us to update the content of your listing as needed. Note that by agreement with the Federal Trade Commission, the American Guild of Organists is prohibited from giving advice or setting standards relating to employment. In you have an interest, click here for more information under “Anti-trust compliance” available from the national organization’s website.

SUGGESTED RESOURCE

In order to attract the best candidate, we encourage you to consult “Employing Musicians in Religious Institutions: A Handbook for Committees and Candidates, published by the headquarters of the American Guild of Organists. This publication provides perspectives for clergy and lay persons responsible for hiring a musician. It’s an effective resource that will help attract the most qualified and talented musicians to religious institutions and their diverse memberships. The booklet is available for viewing or downloading here.
